"SNOW-MAGEDDON" or "SNOW-POKALYPSE II: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO"

Well it wasn't just us this time, Portland, Seattle and a lot of places in the Pac NW got hit too. You may remember at the start of 2008 Spokane got hit pretty hard and we dubbed it "Snow-pokalypse" around the newsroom. What's funny is we actually started referring to that event by that name on air when this latest storm hit. We even started asking viewers what we should call this new storm, one person suggested "SnObama".

The snow really started coming down Wednesday and didn't stop until Thursday night. Here's a picture of my grill in the backyard Friday morning.

I was able to get to work on Wednesday no problem, but got stuck coming home at midnight about 50 feet from the driveway. A co-worker and two neighbors who were outside helped me get the car unstuck. I had chains on but I still got stuck. The car stayed in the garage until Saturday. Here's what the road looked like before they plowed.

I got a ride in on Thursday morning and was told to take a news 4x4 rig home Thursday night. So driving in on Friday morning was no problem. It snowed again today, it's snowing now actually and is supposed to snow all week. I'm working dayside this week so getting to work will be interesting. Here's what the back yard looked like tonight.

I was helping out by shooting last week so I was running around shooting car slide offs, stuck semi's and setting up live shots.

Elliott loved it it was her own winter wonderland. She had a blast playing in the snow and making snow angels.

Now for media geek stuff. The trailer for "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" came out this week, and it looks like it's going to kick butt. I think it's actually going to be better than any of the X-Men movies. Please to enjoy. Click here to see the trailer.

Later,
CS
