Big Update coming

I got a big update with lots of new pics coming up this weekend so keep checking back. I've been really busy with getting back to work and just haven't had time to post anything. When I get home at 8pm I'd rather hold Elliott than type on the computer.
Here are a couple of cute pics to tied you over until I get to that post.

Ella's Home from the Hospital and a Riot in Toledo all in one day

Well My little baby girl got to come home from the hospital on Saturday October 15th ( I know her name is Elliott, and Ellie makes the most sense, but we are calling her Ella for short.). So far we've watched some Cartoon Planet, soiled about fifty or so diapers and just sat around staring at each other for hours. We also went to the doctor today for her first out of the hospital check up. The doctors said "She's just perfect". Well I could have told you that mister big brain, I mean just freakin' look at her, she's freakin' adorable. Glad to see Med School paid off for you Brainiac. Just kidding he was a very nice man, might have had a problem stating the obvious, but a nice man and a good doctor.

Anyway, here are some pics from the hospital I didn't get to post and some from her at home over the last couple of days.

The Three wise Guys: Any boy who wants to date Elliott will have to go through a strict screening process performed by myself and these three gentleman...the one in the middle can bite through nails.

Grandma & Grandpa Bird sent this cool cookie bouquet.

"Elliott's the Cutest, and that's the Truth PPPPTTTTBBBBLLLLLL!"

Not only is she cute, but because she came home the same day a riot broke out in North Toledo, she saved me from going to work, where I probably would have had to gone down to the riot to shoot video of it because we only had two Photogs down there. One of the Photogs was almost attacked numerous times and had his life threatened by a bunch of gang bangers that tried to rob him. The other Photog was hit in the arm by a brick. So thanks for keeping me out of that baby.

Ladies and Gentlemen....Miss Elliott Anne

That's right, at 8:20pm EST Elliott Anne joined our family, weighing in at 8lbs. 15.8oz.

It was a very long and tiring day. They induced Morgan's labor at 7:30am and started monitoring her contractions. At one o'clock the doctor was going to Break Morgan's water, but it broke on it's own at about 12:30pm. She started pushing at 5 til 5pm and she did great, she's the strongest person I know. After she had been pushing for about 2 and a half hours, the doctor decided that the baby was just too big and he was going to have to perform a C-section. Morgan was pretty upset and frustrated, but she was a champ, she's my hero.

We went into the OR at about 8pm and at 8:20pm Elliott joined us.

After that Morgan had to spend about an hour in recovery.

More Pics later I have to get back to the hospital.

We're in the home stretch

This is it we're going to the hospital at 7:30pm, they're gonna get Morgan all prepped and in morning they're going to induce labor. It's still quite possible that she could go into labor overnight after the prep her. But if that doesn't happen they're going to start the process of inducing at 7:30am on Wednesday October, 12. Everyone send out good thoughts and wish us luck. And everyone pray that the baby doesn't come out looking like this.

Come out Baby, Baby come out!

The baby is being very stubborn. It refuses to come out. I believe it is because the child hates me.

Baby Time

Morgan still hasn't had the baby, but in a few days at least we are going to be Parents. If she doesn't have it by Tuesday the doctor is going to induce labor on Wednesday. Everyone keep your fingers crossed.

Yuk Yuk the clown

News is serious business. Let's take for example the story of 2 men from our area who took a little trip down to New Orleans. One week before hurricane Katrina hit they were out partying and had a little too much. The wild night ended with them sobering up in the drunk tank. well as the hurricane approached the police began to make ready and had bigger things to worry about than paperwork for a couple of guys that saw "girls gone wild" one too many times. For their own safety the two were moved from the drunk tank to a prison with hardened criminals until the threat of the hurricane passed. Well we all know how the hurricane didn't just pass. Long story short, the two poor slobs have been stuck in that prison for over a month now.
I told my weekend crew that I wanted them to do this story on Saturday, because one of the guys girlfriends was headed down south to help them get out. Anyway, I'm sitting at home watching our six o'clock news and who do I see pop on the television screen.....why it was Yuk Yuck The Clown. You see it turns out that one of the girlfriend is a professional clown. And she insisted, if she was going to be interviewed about his horrible situation, she would only do it in full clown makeup. She was also going down to New Orleans dressed like that to talk to the authorities. Things like this make me want to not take weekends and just work 7 days a week. We all know that with a baby on the way and a lovely wife at home, that's not going to happen.

Post a Comment

Before the baby is born I want to encourage you all to start posting comments on individual entries. This is beneficial in a couple of ways. First this ties your comment to the particular entry that you are referring too. Second this is a good way to interact with the other people who visit the site that leave a comment, for example someone will write "What a cute baby" and then someone else will post "You are so very right that is the cutest baby I have ever seen, it makes all other babies look like little trolls". Here's a good example from a string of comments tied to a entry from LLR's site.

So let's get started. All you have to do is click the "comments" link at the bottom of this post.
